Brief introduction of reverse osmosis technology: the reverse osmosis technology is the most advanced desalination technologies at present, with the characteristics of low energy consumption, free from pollution, simple operation and reliable running. This equipment could be widely used for desalinating sea water, brackish water as well as applied in the electronics, pharmaceutical, chemical, electric power and other industries.
Working principles of reverse osmosis technology: the reverse osmosis membrane is partially permeative, produced with the macromolecule material by a special process based on the reverse osmosis principle. It will only allow the water molecule to permeate but not the other solute in it. The roll-type membrane element constituted by binding the half-permeation membrane, flow deflector and separation meshwork in a certain sequence and attached to the center pipe which has a row of holes in it.
The pressurized raw water enter the separation meshwork from one end of the element, part of water and small amount of salt permeate through the half-permeation membrane into the flow deflectors and then along the passage of the flow deflecting mesh via the holes in the pipes into the center pipe, becoming fresh water and flowing out. The residual water and most of the solutes flow out of the other end of membrane element via the separation meshwork as brain water.
The applied fields for the reverse osmosis technology:
1、Treatment of the chemical water from electric power plant;
2、Ultra pure water for electronics and semi-conductors industries;
3、Pure water for pharmaceutical industries;
4、Pure water for foods and drinks;
5、Desalination of sea water and brackish water;
6、Disposal of waste water from metallurgical, chemical, electrical-plating and leather processing industries;
7、The purification and condensation of various liquids. |
